About Doug’s Adventure

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”

Hunter S. Thompson

At a certain milestone age, I started to plan a list of experiences I wanted to have.  I’ve always been an adrenaline junkie, but have suppressed the urge for the last 18 years to fulfill my responsibilities as a dad.  Now that my little baby is grown, it’s time to start pushing the envelope a little.  People sometimes ask: “Aren’t you afraid you might die?”  My response is:  “Actually, I’m excited I might feel alive”.
